Anne Hathaway--Classic Hollywood: Anne is often compared to Julia Roberts for not only her girl next door likeability, but also for often playing the part of a fashion challenged girl who with the help of a makeover, emerges into a beautiful fashionista (Princess Diaries and The Devil Wears Prada anyone?). Anne Hathaway is a classic beauty and her style is reminiscent of Old Hollywood. Never vulgar, you often see Anne in cocktail dresses and gowns by Valentino. When dressed down, she sticks with classic American style.
Rihanna--Rule Breaker: I remember reading about when Rihanna first chopped off her hair, she did not check with her record label beforehand (and big no-no as they had a very specific look they wanted Rihanna to have). She simply wanted to do something and did it. That is indicitive of Rihanna's personal style. With her killer bod and flawless skin, Rihanna has a great canvas to do whatever she pleases. Whether its a super tight, hot pink, satin gown at the MTV Awards, or dancing around in a leotard with her umbrella ella ella, Rihanna has a style all her own, and just when you think she is gonna wear one style, she switches it up...if only her common sense was as good as her fashion sense.
Kate Hudson--California Dreamin: Oh, how I love Kate Hudson. One of my roommates this summer REALLY loves Kate Hudson (like she called me from behind a tree where she stalked, er, spotted Kate coming out of her apartment on King Street). It is pretty clear that Kate embodies the best of California Girl and Hippie Chic style all in one bubbly package. Ironically, Kate doesn't get the whole "hippie chic" phrasing. In a recent interview, she mentioned that hippies, are not chic, they don't bathe and are the opposite of chic. Well, hippie or not, Kate is definitely chic and put together without a hint of contrivance. You get the idea that she could be sitting around a campfire singing Kumbaya, but would undoubtedly be the best looking one of the bunch.
