Leigton Meester—Gorgeous Girl: Why do all the bad girls have all the good clothes? Leighton’s character on Gossip Girl, Blair Waldorf, is part Park Avenue, part naughty schoolgirl. While that is a look all on its own, Leighton prefers to have a more adult style off camera. While it’s clear she is coming into her own and may not have a very distinct style just yet, its just as obvious that this lady has great taste (and thankfully leaves all those damn headbands on the GG set).
Lady Gaga—Performance Fashionista: Ok, so while I wish she would remember to wear pants, I have to give it to Lady G for doing her thing. Its absolutely refreshing to see someone have fun with fashion. Seriously, she is a performer and she uses her wardrobe as her props. I mean really? Three dimensional pyramids on your black cocktail dress? Love it or hate it, she definitely keeps us guessing.
Freida Pinto—Bollywood Sweetheart: Um, I love Freida Pinto. I mean she is stunning, incredibly gracious and has amazing style. While she wears classic chic like nobody’s business, she also isn’t afraid to take risks, like the blue John Galliano number she wore to this years Oscars. I have yet to see her in anything that just didn’t work for her, she knows what she is doing and I can assure you that this is only the beginning of fashionable things to come for this lovely lady.
Santigold—Post Punk Princess: If you were to mix M.I.A. and Rihanna’s style together and throw a dash of Fresh Prince era Philly style, you would get Santigold. Like her music, her style is unexpected and doesn’t quite fit into any genre. Musicians are often trendsetters that become style icons and I just have this feeling that I’m gonna see Santigold all over the magazines and think to myself “I wish I could pull off that look.”
