Fashion weeks are over and the fashion designers have showed the new trends for A/W 2010.
The most exceptional thing in the catwalks was the fact that they were full of fur and leather. Furry and leather clothes, shoes and accessories, sometimes they were too much, like in Chanel's collection and other times they were more mildly, like in the collections of Burberry Prorsum, Celine, Prada, Balmain, Christian Dior, Marc Jacobs and Dolce&Gabbana's D&G. The paradox is that they showed these collections in the middle of a global financial crisis. This move caused many queries and the opinions of course differ. Some may say that this is not right and it will widen the gap between social classes. The truth is, that these fashion houses address mainly to specific social classes, that the crisis doesn't affect them maybe that much. The truth also is, that all the collections are amazing and they really are a tonic shot in the hard times we live, even if we won't be able all of us to acquire one of these. And don't forget that the new collections maybe are "defiantly" luxurius, many designers though, like Karl Lagerfeld for Chanel, used fake fur.
