style (1)

generation of today.
04 Dec 2008 by tittycakes

why is the world full of things that we cant see or touch, we have all these feelings but they all have different definitions to them.

we can fall in love or say we love a certain movie or dress but we all have different taste so our defintions are all different.

why does everything have to be so different, sometimes different is good, sometimes its fun, sometimes different is cool.

this new generation of the weird and wonderful outfits that blow our minds that come from the 60's right throught to the 90's mixed with the kids creations and imaginations that no one can keep up with, not even the most fashionable city in the world can keep up. but i think thats the thing, its not about whats in or whats out its about having a style, having a look thats you and not some overly skinny dumb bitch wearing some designer outfit to tell you whats hot.

that weird generation is the generation im in and i quite honestly hate overally skinny models with a passion, and just models in general, i love the city and the different scene's that people are in, it amazes me everyday and i cant even keep up. its all about expressing how you feel and what you like, from grandma's nightie to grandpa's old work boots to the fluro jackets mum use to wear and the long arm hole singlets dad wore, its about mixing it up, making it different because we dont want to be the same anymore. we are all sick of desginer clothes these days. if you look in your fav mag and see what the models are wearing, half the time one thing is from a designer and the rest will say models own dress or so on.

blogs are what are taking over the minds of kids and the pictures on myspace, half the time i pick up a random magazine and look at the clothes and the hair and make-up and think, i wore that same thing a month ago and i know people that have had three different hairstyles since that one. we are all inspired by others. im not inspired by designers, maybe little designers in alley ways, but their the designers that are those kids of today making a statement and putting it out there so you dont have to pull your hair out to make something thats out of your reach, yeah it might come with a heavy price tag but doesnt everything these days.

i cant wait to see what other generations bring to the table. i want to be in the fashion industry when im older but i dont think a designer or having my own label is going to get my anywhere with all this young designer getting out there its going to be a tough time getting to the top, but i have faith in myself that i could get up there but give me anything to do with fashion and ill be happy, its my love and joy but its this strange generatioof today that is hard yard, we are all so determined and eager to get out and show the world what we are and what we wear.
