Here i am in the plane to Berlin, special correspondent for Modepass, i’m gonna share with you my travel into the most specialized fair of fashion SPORT&STREET market .

Bread ans Butter came back into his native town and installe dit into the old Tempelhof airport for this new session and will be definitely here for the next 10 years…

Thursday morning, second day of the fair, first to me, 9h30, my cab drop me off in front of this huge building quite austere with the logo B&B on the top of the front door.

I mix myself into the intermittent stream of people who go to the fair, everyone xear shorts, thongs, short-sleeved shirts, tiny dresses… it’s 26°C, the sun is hot !


I come into the hall, on the old carousels turn many B&B bags with a guidebook inside.
I already find cool this production.

I start my day with a coffe and a at the buisness club and by the window, i discover some impressive installations : a shed G-STAR RAW, a concerts stage, many bars with teraces more and more originals and all of it on the tarmac of the airport …

After my breakfast, i activate my pass with my ID, they are really vigilant,

Now i’m inside, the airport is an arc of a circle divided in 8 rooms. From the main entrance we arrive at the  « DENIM BASE » space where we find all jeans brands : : Energie, G-Star Raw, Gas, Guru, Killah, Levi’s, Miss sixty… Each are so original !

A crowd strolls about , laughs, talks, takes pictures, talks about buiseness, pushs themself in front of the most famous stands and i sail , i admire the clothes but also the visitors looks…It’s really interresing !

Let’s go ! guided visite, to the right, the « URBAN SUPERIOR WOMEN » area, sensual, female, refined, fluid maerial, soft, see-through and lighted and faded colors, used, for a vintage touch, romantic and sure…

Close to it , the « URBAN SUPERIOR MEN » area, a touch of coolness blows on colors ( whereas it’s hot inside !) blue, green, yellow, turquoise… It’s like seaside… Almost hollidays no ?

This cool colors are softed by washs, old effects, whitened, to make clothes alive, with a story, already used and soft like a soft toy… a little bit of childhood ? or fetishism ? Who knows ? Always a theme axed old américan vintage, 50’s university, polo shirts, shirts, several pockets shorts, all the detail of mix…

I still progress into the fair and land to the « LOCK » hangar, more outdoor, less glamour, in the style of boat shoes and sailor parka… Not my type… Half turn and go to visit the other parts !

Now, on the left, the « STYLE SOCIETY » hangar, really rock, studded and glittered attitude, the best representatives of this trend are Religion, True religion jeans, Eleven, Swarovski
( you see… glitters even strasses !)

…and Ed Hardy has a hugde stand, quite 1/5 of the hanger, we love or hate but his stand is never empty !

At the « STREET&FASHION » hangar, many accessories and most of them are shoes, but wait !!?? Scholl has a stand !!?? I can’t believe it ! Since when orthopaedic shoes are trendy ???  Anyway i prefer stop at Buffalo… and i think i just find a pair of shoes i really like…I can’t wait for summer 2010…

The visit goes on to the « STREET FASHION » hangar and finishes at the « SPORT &STREET » one : more we walk by this way more we see sportwear brands often skate, surf and extrem sports cultures with DICKIES, RIP CURL but also brands like NIKE and REEBOK face to face. Reebok reveals himself :

…and Nike hides. In the middle, Lacoste, Two Angle, Kangol, Humör…here colors are flahies ! purple, yellow, electric blue, a univers more technique but fun, with a lot of japonese sketches, colored graphisms… Vitamins for eyes and a lot of humor…

… but tell me since when bad boys are wearing Ralph Lauren ???...ahhh it’s Chunk brand which revisites the clothes in a BMX trashy chic way !!! just fun ! To me, i prefer this one to the nice ans cute one of Ralph Lauren ;)


So i’m gonna see the G-star Raw show under the huge tent outside, and may be after i’m gonna put my foot into the water listenning musique and drinking a coktail… I deserve une tiny break !

That’s it, it’s over, already ? I have to go back home ? are you sure ?
After half an hour queuing for a cab , the airport and tomorow my job… but with a large smile due to this wonderfull fair !
