For how many times do you paint or draw ?
I draw as long as I remember myself. However, I have an "official" date-to-remember: at September, 1, 1988, when I was 5, I enrolled to the Stircea School of Arts in Chisinau. Since then, all my life is spinning around forms and colours, except two weird and difficult years, when my teacher got married and left for France, and I, frustrated by the lack of opportunities in Moldova, moved to Israel to start something new. I entered the Hadassa college of technology, and this "someting new" turned to be (surprise, surprise!) print production. Since then, I quit my efforts to quit drawing,

How do you decribe your style of drawing ?
Well, it is hard to define it in a single word or even a sentence. I know the only thing about drawing - it must hook me up, make me feel intensively. My concept, or method in art, could be described as an 'energy donorship': I draw fast, putting a part of me into every picture (people often say "a girl in this picture is you", this could be a reason for such likeness), and I am very tired after a process, I mean totally and physically tired, like after a couple of hours in a gym. And after a short rest I get recovered and can't help waiting to start drawing again. The feedback is very important for me, I have to know what people think and feel about my pictures.

Are you a fashion drawing ?
Not in a way it is widely considered. But I am very curious about fashion as a major instrument in a building of one's image and as a medium of delivering of one's feelings. To me, fashion illustration has gone far from being a long-legs Burda Damen scheme. Since designers began conceptualizing their products, even in a casual segment, fashion illustrators have to deal with concepts, too.
What I see is a whole image. It consists not only of fabrics and lines, but of aquarels, letters and even sounds to the same extent.

I convienced that every artist who feels today's vibes, reacts on what he sees and hears, and pushing himself forward, is illustrating fashion in his unique way.
You were one of Modepass illustrator winner and you were edited and published by modepass, wht was your reaction ?
It was fun. I was very pleased, due to the fact that it was my first project in this direction. I always wanted to try this, and the Modepass contest perfectly fitted my inner desires that were waiting for an opportunity to break out:-).

You live in israel, could you describe your country ?
The first word that comes to mind is 'colourful'. Since I came here, I can't stop watching how every single day adds to this white-and-blue canvas more and more colours and tones. Everything is subtle and not easy. Bright sunset make interesting people even more beautiful, yet sand storms lift up the level of the local mediocracy. But in the bottom line, Israel is truly inspiring. I found my friends, my family and my love here.

Israel is a an "art country" ?
There's a huge number of truly talented and interesting people here. But it is hard to call Israel an "art country", though art is often unwelcomed in the everyday life of Israelis. The concensus concepts are too narrow or too old-fashioned, most of exhibitions are gloomy and shallow, the most unaesthetic concepts prevail, the art crowd is more crowd than art, many talented Israelis are leaving or at least constantly thinking of it. But it is up to us to make it better, and I believe I do.

Do you have a blog ?Could you introduce it ?
Yes, I have a lot. The main is my livejournal page in Russian (avita-f.livejournal.com) where I write on what I dream about, what makes me laugh or upsets. I use words, pictures, cellphone shots, links etc.

Where does come from your inspiration ?
Hmmm... To name a few - pictures, sounds, texts, images, rain, sun, night, day, face in a mirror, faces in front of me, my dreams, my fears... Some call it "life". I don't want to differ.

Are you a fashion addict ?
Probably yes. But it is quite opposite. I am not chasing styles, I pick them and fit on myself, looking for what could co-exist with my mood or my current life concept. It is not an easy, but extremely funny process.

Do you have other passions ?
All my life is passion. But yes, I like conventional things like reading books, listening to music and even watching TV. A good conversation can definitely count.

What are you doing ?You're a student ?
I am the art director in an advertising agency, not a student, but keep learning every day.

What was your first interest in Modepass
I saw a lot of pictures, striking yet carefully picked and ordered content, frequently updated. I am an imagevoire, I eat visuals, and my daily nutrition consists of dozens of sites, and the Modepass turned to be an important and delightful dish almost instantly. You can call it "love from the first site":-).

What are your best addresses ( fashion, shop, websites...) ?

The week tendance is "Altruistism" what do you think about this concept ?
Wow. Frankly, I never thought about altruism as a concept. I seem it is just inherent part of us as human beings. It is about love, about willing and ability to share, about being able to look in someone's eyes to understand. It is so natural for me and my friends. But you know what, if turning this basic feeling to a tendance will open one heart, I am your soldier.

You send a hanoukah picture what does taht mean?
Hanukkah is a Jewish holiday of light. This candelabre, known as Hanukkia, can hold up to 8 candles. Hanukkah's celebration lasts 8 days, and everyday we add a candle to make more light. I don't know how can I put this explanation into a message:-)
